beIN SPORTS Built an F1 Commentary Booth Experience with qiksense


The Challenge

Singapore GP’s ALL ACCESS 2.0 was an interactive, behind-the-scenes experience held at the F1 Pit Building from 26 June to 26 July 2026. The event gave visitors a closer look at how Singapore’s streets are transformed into the Marina Bay Street Circuit, including access to areas such as the podium, cool down room and Race Control.

As part of the experience, beIN SPORTS wanted to give Formula 1 fans an opportunity to step into the role of a race commentator. The commentary booth was one of the interactive activities officially featured at ALL ACCESS 2.0.

As a Formula 1 broadcaster in Singapore, beIN SPORTS wanted to bring its broadcast expertise into a hands-on fan activity that went beyond simply watching race footage.

The experience needed to:

  • Place fans in the role of an F1 commentator
  • Guide participants through the commentary clearly
  • Record their video, voice and reactions
  • Combine race footage and commentary prompts in one experience
  • Generate a personalised video for each participant
  • Allow participants to access and save their recording easily

The challenge was to turn sports broadcasting into an accessible and engaging activity that allowed fans to become part of the F1 action.

The Solution

To achieve this, beIN SPORTS used the qiksense platform and opted for a customised F1 commentary booth experience.

The interactive journey combined race footage, guided commentary subtitles, video and audio recording, and QR code collection within one seamless experience.

Engage Module: Customised F1 Commentary Booth

Participants entered the booth, put on the headphones and prepared to take on the role of an F1 race commentator.

Once ready, they started the experience and watched an F1 race video. Commentary subtitles appeared as the video played, guiding participants on what to say while allowing them to deliver the lines with the energy and excitement of a race commentator.

The experience followed a simple journey:

  • Enter the commentary booth
  • Put on the headphones
  • Get ready and start the experience
  • Watch the F1 race video
  • Follow the on-screen commentary subtitles
  • Commentate on the race
  • Scan the QR code to collect the completed video

Video and Audio Recording

While participants delivered their commentary, a webcam recorded their video, voice and reactions.

The recording captured them alongside the race content, creating a personalised video of their performance as an F1 commentator.

This transformed the activity from a temporary booth interaction into a memorable piece of digital content that participants could keep and share.

QR Code Video Collection

After the race video ended, participants were shown a QR code on the screen.

They could scan the QR code using their mobile phones to access and save their personalised commentary video.

This created a smooth transition from the physical booth to the participant’s mobile device, extending the experience beyond the event itself.

The Result

Using qiksense, beIN SPORTS created an interactive commentary booth that allowed visitors at ALL ACCESS 2.0 to experience Formula 1 from the perspective of a sports broadcaster.

Bringing Fans into the Broadcast

Instead of only watching race content, participants became part of the action by commentating on an F1 race themselves.

The combination of headphones, race footage, guided subtitles and recording created an immersive activity that connected fans more closely with the excitement and skill involved in sports commentary.

A Personalised Video to Keep and Share

Each participant completed the experience with a personalised video featuring their commentary, voice and reactions.

The QR code collection journey made the video easy to access on a mobile device, giving fans a digital keepsake from their visit to Singapore GP’s ALL ACCESS 2.0.
