Popper Asia Powered Its Sunset Vibe Music Booth with qiksense
The Challenge
Popper Asia is the creative agency behind the Sunset Vibe music booth, which it created for its client Aperol Spritz at the Aperol Spritz Sunset Block Party. The party took over Pekin Street from 19 to 21 August 2026 with sunset spritzes and live DJ sets by Ice Cream Sundays from 5pm each evening, as part of Aperol Spritz's "Switch Off. Spritz On." campaign, which invites Singapore's always-on workforce to close their laptops and make time for the sunset.
Popper Asia's idea was a music booth built around the question printed on its panel, "What's your sunset vibe today?" Guests would pick a vibe with physical buttons, hear its song, and dance and take photos in a mirror above the screen. The agency had the concept and the booth design, and it needed software to run the interactive part.
Popper Asia needed a platform that could:
- Turn the booth's buttons into controls for a music experience
- Show the campaign's own look on the booth's display
- Be set up without custom software development
- Be previewed and adjusted before the event
- Run on its own through three busy evenings
The challenge was to bring the agency's concept to life as a working interactive booth for its client, without building software from scratch.

The Solution
To achieve this, Popper Asia used the qiksense platform as the software behind the booth. Popper Asia created the concept and the booth, with a round mirror at the top, a wide display in the middle and three buttons below it for previous, play and next. The qiksense platform ran the experience on the display and connected it to the buttons.

Engage Module: Music Player
Using the Music Player in qiksense, the three buttons controlled a playlist of sunset vibes. Guests pressed play to open the vibes, used previous and next to browse Afterglow, Golden Hour and Sundown, then pressed play again to hear the song for their vibe.
The experience followed a simple journey:
- Walk up to the booth
- Press play, then browse the three sunset vibes with previous and next
- Press play to start the vibe's song
- Listen, dance and vibe in front of the mirror
- Take a selfie or record a video of the moment
Because the buttons were physical, the booth worked like a jukebox rather than a touchscreen, which suited a street party where most guests had a drink in hand.

Mirror Moments to Keep
While the song played, the mirror above the display became the stage. Guests danced to their chosen vibe, posed with friends and filmed themselves in the mirror with the booth's branding in frame.
Many plays ended with a photo or video that guests took on their own phones to keep and share, the kind of personal, hands-on moment that experiential marketing in 2026 is built around.

The Result
Using qiksense, Popper Asia turned its booth concept into a working music experience for Aperol Spritz that guests controlled with three buttons, and the booth became part of the evening rather than a display on the side.
A Popular Stop on Pekin Street
More than 3,000 professionals from across the CBD came to the block party over its three evenings. In its recap, Honeycombers named the Sunset Vibe booth as one of the most popular spots, with guests flocking to it to capture golden hour moments.
The Agency Focused on the Creative
With the software handled by qiksense, Popper Asia could put its time into the concept, the booth and the guest experience. The music, the vibes and the screen design were set up on the platform.
A Clear View of the After-Work Crowd
Throughout the three evenings, the qiksense dashboard showed how many guests played, giving the team a clear read on the after-work crowd the campaign was built for.
